Strengthened Within
Week 6 Day 34Quietness and Trust
Scripture
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel,
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust”
“In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust”
Isaiah 30:15 · · ESV
This week the road of surrender has slowly been narrowing. And at the center of that road we find a simple word: trust.
Isaiah reminds us that in returning and rest we are saved, and in quietness and trust we find our strength.
The cross in the margin now carries the word trust. Like roots growing deeper into the soil, trust slowly deepens as we return to God and rest in Him.
Every step of surrender is really a step of trust.
Returning to God again and again is how our hearts learn to trust Him.
Prayer
Lord, help me return to You and rest in Your care. Teach my heart to trust You more each day.
Return. Rest. Quiet. Trust.
Return. Rest. Quiet. Trust.
