Week 7 Day 35When Love Is Poured Out

There have been times I’ve thought about reaching out to someone…
I start the text in my head,
or I pull up their name on my phone…
and then I decide to do it later.
And later never comes.
John tells us the story of Mary,
and she doesn’t hesitate.
Jesus is in her home.
And she takes something costly,
something she could have saved,
and she pours it on His feet.
She doesn’t stop to reconsider the cost.
She doesn’t wait for a better moment.
She doesn’t wonder what others might think.
She simply responds.
And the whole house fills with the fragrance.
I think about how often I pause
when I have an opportunity to show love.
A message.
A call.
A moment to show up.
Mary reminds me that love doesn’t always wait for the right time.
It responds.
It gives.
When I reach out to someone,
I’m not just checking in…
I’m carrying His love to them.
And when I delay,
when I move on too quickly,
I miss that moment.
don’t wait.
Send the message.
Make the call.
Just respond.
Prayer
and respond with a love that doesn’t hold back.
Return. Rest. Quiet. Trust. Strength.
