When Love Waits

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;

This is the day in between.
After the pain.
Before the promise.

I don’t rush this day.

I wait.

Stillness.

Quiet.

I don’t understand it. But I wait.

Lord, help me trust You in the quiet.
